I really enjoyed getting to know Karyn just after our sons were born. I remember the first time we met in Shelford Doctors Surgery at the postnatal group. Henry and William were the only boys and I remember Henry lying flat out on Karyn's lap and how proud and happy Karyn was. We spent many hours together feeding and talking in those first few months (the cafe in Scotsdales being a favourite place) and Karyn, although tired, always seemed so besotted with Henry. Karyn always seemed to know instinctively what to do with Henry. I remember going round to see them in Mingle Lane where she had set a tent up outside with lots of toys for Henry and they both looked like they were having such a great time. I really missed Karyn and Henry when you left to go to Washington. We were very pleased that you were all able to visit when you lived in the Caribbean and that we were able to meet Molly. I have some lovely memories of the postnatal group getting together with all our children and being very impressed with Henry's football talents (age 4). From the short time I knew Karyn it seemed obvious that family was her priority. She was very proud of you (Simon) and your academic achievements and was very focused on doing the best for Molly and Henry. She was so warm with a lovely sense of humour.
