Baby Karyn

Karyn was born in Delivery Room 3 at St. Brenda's Maternity Hospital, Clifton in Bristol on 21st April 1963 at 1.55 am and weighing 6lbs 4 ounces. Mum (Carolyn Joy Hobby (nee Moreton) and Dad (Norman John Hobby) had Karyn baptised on August 25th 1963 at Bristol St. Michael on the Mount Without. Her Godparents were Marilyn Elizabeth Moreton, June Margaret Harvey and Bryan Colin Sharpe of Bristol. According to her well documented baby book, Karyn first went out on 3rd May 1963 where on the page a poem says "Today I went out for the very first time to look at the skies of blue and see the most beautiful things all around. Beautiful all the day through" Karyn grew her first tooth in January 1964 and her first documented words were "Dada"; "Grandad"; "Gone" and "Bow-Wow". There was no holding her back as she first stood at 8 months and was walking on 13th June 1964 at 14 months and went on her first holiday to Sandbanks (Poole, Dorset) where her grandparents owned a holiday home.
